Everyone loves a good adventure slot, and BlueGem Gaming has brought you just that. Gold Raider is a treasure hunting, jungle setting, whip cracking hero slot with a few added extras. Set over five reels and twenty paylines, Gold Raider does not offer a progressive jackpot, but has a substantial regular one. It also offers a Click Me bonus game, a wild symbol, scatter symbols and a number of multipliers.
The game has a nice wagering range, making this a great game for almost all types of slot players. It probably won’t appeal too much to the very high rollers, but may be a welcome distraction and a way of just having fun. The game opens with a very well animated 3D video, setting the story of our whip cracking hero and how he escapes from an Asian prisoner camp. From here it’s up to you to help him through the jungle, finding treasures on the way.
The graphics in Gold Raider slot are all 3D and very well designed. They are in a carton style the same way that a good animated movie is, not cheesy at all. The reels are exceptionally busy, with every spare inch taken up by the graphics.
Set in a jungle with loads of greenery the slot has a lush almost dangerous feel, like you can’t wait to see what is around the next corner. There are no deck of cards symbols here, every symbol is theme based and all animate to help tell the story of our hero when forming part of a winning combination.
The slot wild symbol is a lookout tower from the prison camp, but can only be found on the third reel. This symbol will expand however to cover the entire reel when a player hits it. When it expands, it takes the place of almost every symbol in the game except for the scatters and the bonus symbol.
There are actually two scatter symbols in Gold Raider; these are the Skull and the Gold Raider himself. These symbols award you with up to 25 free spins for finding five of them, however they do have to be matching. You cannot mix them up to activate the free sins.
Gold Raider has a Click Me bonus round which is triggered by the Pouch and Map symbol. These can be found on the first, third and fifth reels.
This is a pretty simple round where you just click on symbols that contain certain prizes. The round is over when you find the Collect icon, and get transferred back to the base game.
There is also a Wheel of Fortune round in Gold Raider slot, which is launched by the Gun symbol found only in the middle of the fifth reel. This again is a simple round, where you spin the gun and it will land on a certain cash amount that will be added to your total.
The last feature is launched by finding three Extra Cash symbols on the second, third and fourth reels. This just allocates you a random cash prize that is also added to your total.
